January's painting: #1 of 12 in 2022. Creation of the lesser light. This one is from Art 365 paintings ; just on a larger scale. Oil on 36"x36" canvas.

This year is quite different from last year. I am still painting almost every day, however the paintings are much larger and I'm developing them at a different pace. Last year all the paintings were alla prima, so to have the luxury of letting them dry a little is fantastic.  Starting off this year with large abstracts, I'll soon go back to landscapes with a twist of abstract.  At least I finally found what I love to paint through all the struggles of painting everyday last year.
